Another recent poll, this one by the New York Times and CBS, revealed 75% of Americans are willing to make sacrifices to take direct action against global warming pollution (such as paying more for energy derived from an alternative, renewable source).

Americans are not, however, willing to pay more for their gasoline, with 58% opposed to a federal tax increase on gasoline.
